948. constexpr in conditions

Section: 8.5  []     Status: C++11     Submitter: Gabriel Dos Reis     Date: 2 August, 2009

[Voted into WP at August, 2010 meeting.]

The grammar for condition in 8.5 [] paragraph 1 does not allow for the constexpr specifier. This was not intended by the original proposal.

Proposed resolution (March, 2010):

  1. Change the definition of condition in 8.5 [] paragraph 1 as follows:

  2. Insert the following text as a new paragraph at the end of 8.5 []:

  3. In the decl-specifier-seq of a condition, each decl-specifier shall be either a type-specifier or constexpr.
