11.8.5 [class.protected] paragraph 1 says:
When a friend or a member function of a derived class references a protected nonstatic member of a base class, an access check applies in addition to ...Instead of saying "references a protected nonstatic member of a base class", shouldn't this be rewritten to use the concept of naming class as 11.8.3 [class.access.base] paragraph 4 does?
Rationale (04/99): This rule is orthogonal to the specification in 11.8.3 [class.access.base] paragraph 4.
